Established by current Managing Directors father, CE Mitchell Ltd operated a local parcel delivery service, specialising in drapery and footwear.
The business was rebranded as 'Express Parcels' in 1978
Dublin depot opened in 1982, expanding services to offer next day and economy services throughout Ireland.
Operations moved to Tandragee in 1983.
Transport Development Group PLC bought company over in 1987
Management bought company back in 1993, as parcel sector fell outside TDG's core business activity.
Due to business expansion Express Parcels moved to current premises in 1997.
Due to the fact that we handle all types of freight the business has rebranded its trading name in January 2012 to Express Freight.
In November 2024, Express Freight was acquired by DX Group.
